Our client is a FTSE 100, British-American multinational plumbing and heating products distributor, employing 31,000 employees worldwide.

We are looking to recruit a bright, highly motivated legal professional to provide support to the Company Secretariat team for the next 3-6 months.  This is a hybrid role with the opportunity to work from home two days a week.

Reporting directly to the Group Deputy Company Secretary, the Company Secretariat Assistant will provide support to the Group Deputy Company Secretary and the wider Group Company Secretariat team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Subsidiary governance support (arranging meetings, maintaining records, updating Diligent entities data base and Group Structure Chart, CS01s etc)
  • Support the AGM process
  • Assist on Subsidiary accounts and plc dividend work
  • Provide general support across the Company Secretariat team with transactional work and ad-hoc projects

To succeed you will either have experience of working within a Company Secretariat or a legal secretarial role, or be a legal graduate looking for experience in a listed Plc.  You will need effective communication skills, with the ability to maintain and develop cooperative relationships within a multi-stakeholder environment.  An analytical and systematic approach to everyday tasks is essential. 

Our priority is to recruit a talented hire for a short term contract who is committed to providing high level support to an in-house Company Secretariat team. An understanding of organisational and cultural sensitivity will be vital and, you will need to demonstrate effective planning and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and deliver to strict deadlines. Highly proficient IT skills including MS Office are essential.
