Our client is a UK-based company who design and develop the technologies needed for high speed flight. They create pioneering applied technologies that have the potential to change the face of a wide range of commercial industries – from aerospace and automotive to energy.

We are looking to appoint a Head of Public Affairs into a stand-alone role. Reporting to the CFO this is a unique opportunity for a public affairs professional to engage and influence the company’s political and industry stakeholders, and design and implement campaigns to support business activities and the overall government affairs strategy in the UK.

As the Head of Public Affairs, you’ll lead public affairs activity across all business functions. Establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders across Westminster and Whitehall whilst enhancing and promoting the business reputation and improving engagement with influential political, policy, and industrial stakeholders.

Working closely with commercial leads, you will represent the company’s corporate priorities as well as products and services at external trade events, and stakeholder and government engagements.

In addition, you will provide strategic political advice, guidance, and insight to senior leadership, and partner with agencies to ensure an integrated contribution to the overall public affairs strategy. 

The successful candidate will have government affairs experience gained either from an in-house role or with a consultancy/agency background. Detailed knowledge of the workings and processes of both parliament and Whitehall a must, as well as proven experience of enabling change and working with complex policy areas in the UK.

This role can be based from the London office in W1 or the office in Culham, Oxfordshire, with the opportunity to work from home 2-3 days a week.
