Lead the People Services Team in delivering a comprehensive, high-quality operational HR service, focusing on service excellence and customer experience. You’ll champion the shared central service model across the business, positioning the People Services Team as a trusted resource for all generalist HR advice, support, and guidance
- Lead, coach, and promote a strong culture of continuous improvement within the People Services Team, driving performance to deliver a first-class HR service focused on excellent customer service and timely, SLA-driven delivery.
- Oversee incoming HR enquiries, helping the team develop an efficient approach to handling or appropriately signposting day-to-day HR queries, ensuring standardised operating processes are consistently followed.
- Act as People Service Team SME, aligning HR & People Services operations with law, regulations, and company policy.
- Support the People Services Team in the delivery of comprehensive advice and support on all aspects of HR, whilst acting as their point of escalation for all ER matters including, probationary periods, absence management, welfare, dispute resolution, disciplinary and grievance, across all areas of the business.
- Ensure effective vendor management of HR service providers, fostering strong collaborative relationships and ensuring delivery in line with agreed service levels.
- Oversee the resourcing process to include liaison with recruitment partners and parent companies.
- Working alongside the team to deliver all HR administrative processes and procedures. Oversee volumes of workflow but also activity complete work during periods of peak activity.
- Production of HR monthly statistics and actively supporting HR projects.
About You
- Qualified (CIPD level 5) and credible HR professional with demonstratable experience working in a shared services environment.
- Proficient working knowledge of HR systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions
- ‘Hands on’ practical approach to everyday tasks, must be prepared to ‘muck in’ during busy periods
- Confident relationship builder, ideally, with experience in managing third parties
