Our client is a successful facilities management business with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality services. They are now looking to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner to support their Corporate functions.

This is a genuinely broad and autonomous role, partnering with 15 senior managers and four members of the Senior Leadership Team across a business unit of approximately 260 employees. While your primary focus will be Corporate Functions, you’ll also provide occasional HR support to operational teams, giving you exposure to a wide variety of people challenges.

We’re looking for a seasoned HR Business Partner who is confident operating independently, enjoys building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and isn’t afraid to challenge constructively. This is a role for someone who is pragmatic, commercially minded and equally comfortable influencing strategic people decisions as they are rolling up their sleeves to deal with day-to-day operational HR.

The Role

As HR Business Partner, you’ll provide commercially focused HR support that enables leaders to build high-performing, engaged teams while delivering business objectives.

You’ll balance strategic business partnering with hands-on operational HR, providing practical advice and coaching across a broad range of people matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior managers and members of the Senior Leadership Team to deliver commercially focused people solutions
  • Provide expert advice and guidance across the full employee lifecycle
  • Lead on complex employee relations matters, ensuring balanced, commercially sound and legally compliant outcomes
  • Coach and develop managers to build confidence and capability in leading their teams
  • Support performance management processes, including performance-related pay and reward discussions
  • Drive talent management, succession planning and workforce planning initiatives
  • Use people data and insight to identify trends, mitigate risks and support informed business decisions
  • Lead and support organisational change and HR projects where required
  • Work collaboratively with the wider HR and Talent teams to deliver people initiatives across the business
  • Ensure HR policies and practices remain legally compliant, commercially relevant and consistently applied
  • Build strong relationships across Professional Services while providing occasional support to operational FM teams

About You

You’ll be an experienced HR Business Partner who enjoys working in a fast-paced commercial environment and takes pride in delivering practical, business-focused HR.

You’ll bring:

  • Previous experience operating as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor with significant business partnering responsibilities
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong generalist HR knowledge with proven experience managing complex employee relations cases
  • Experience supporting senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making
  • A pragmatic, resilient and confident approach with excellent judgement
  • Strong coaching and relationship-building skills
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to balance business needs with employee outcomes
  • The confidence to work independently while knowing when to collaborate
  • A proactive, self-starting approach with a genuine desire to make a positive impact

In Return, we offer:

  • Hybrid working
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, as well as the option to buy and sell holiday
  • Contributory Company Pension Plan matched up to 6%, plus individual life assurance
  • A shopping discounts scheme
  • Employee assistance and health and wellbeing programmes
  • Reward and recognition to celebrate outstanding achievements
  • Free on-site parking
  • Payroll giving scheme
  • Learning and development opportunities
